Actually both as, if I understand correctly, one is to get the junk out and the other is to strengthen the lung muscles.ĭamn, I'm pissed. I'm still waiting to see when I start a clinical trial where I will have a new pulmo who will take over my care This device is one of the things I'll ask about. I'm both very angry and extremely sad and to the pont if crying. Especially the time (almost 4 years) because I'm sure I'd be better off had I received even minimal care. Makes me so angry at the $ and time wasted. Since being on inspire and reading about other COPD ers I've come to see the lack of care I've received from this doc. I see this guy every 4 months and he told me on my last visit "there's nothing more I can do for you". Pulmo prescribes pred and antibiotcs but doesn't have me come in even if I call back for another round of antibiotic because first didn't work. I call pulmo as soon as I notice an exacerbation coming on and tell nurse mucus is green and so thick and sticky I can't get it out except sometimes in great big globs. I'm very severe emphysema and have exacebations (without hospitalization) several times each spring and fall. Like RitaAnne I've never heard of these devces before.
